You can find Kcs Pvt Ltd at 21/1, Lakshmanan Street, in the Mahalingapuram area of Chennai. It’s a decent neighborhood, fairly central, so there’s always something happening right outside our windows. The building we’re in is a bit older, which gives it some character, though the stairs can be a bit of a workout. Inside, it’s a typical workspace with desks, computers, and a lot of cables running along the floor. We don’t have those fancy open-plan offices you see in magazines; ours is more about making the best use of the space we have. The Chennai heat is something we deal with every day, so the fans are always on the highest setting. Most of us show up, grab a coffee, and get settled in for the day’s tasks. It’s not the quietest office because Lakshmanan Street gets its fair share of traffic and people walking by to the nearby shops. We’ve got a small pantry area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for when we need a break. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, mostly because we’ve all known each other for a while and don’t feel the need to be formal or "corporate" with one another. We just focus on the work at hand and try to stay productive despite the occasional power cut or the noise from the street. It’s a simple, everyday routine for us in Mahalingapuram.
