Jshine Impex is based right here in Chennai. We’ve been operating out of this city for a good while now. Chennai is a big place with a lot of heat and humidity, but it’s home for us. We do import and export work, mostly. It involves a lot of coordination with the port and various transport groups. Sometimes things get delayed at the docks, and that’s just part of the frustration we deal with. We don't have a massive, shiny office; it’s more of a practical setup where we can keep track of our shipments and talk to our contacts. The team here is small, mostly locals who know the city well. We spend a lot of time on the phone and checking emails to make sure things are where they need to be. It’s not the kind of work you see in movies, it’s mostly just making sure the paperwork matches the goods. We like the food around here, so lunch breaks are usually the highlight of the day. Jshine Impex isn't trying to be the biggest name out there. We just want to do our bit and keep the business moving. Living and working in Chennai means dealing with the traffic and the rain, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a straightforward operation we’ve got going. We just try to stay on top of things as they come.
