You can find us at No 167 on M S Koil Street in Royapuram. It is a very crowded street with a lot of people walking by all day. Our shop is small and packed with electronics. We have everything from tiny capacitors to old circuit boards piled up on the workbenches. The smell of solder is something you get used to after a few minutes. I spend most of my day bent over a magnifying glass, trying to fix things that people bring in. It is meticulous work and my eyes get tired by the evening. My brother helps out with the customers while I handle the repairs in the back. We have a small radio that plays music all day, which helps keep things from being too quiet. The walls are a bit stained from years of work, and the lighting could be better, but we manage just fine. Royapuram is a noisy place with all the traffic and the nearby market, so we usually have to speak up to be heard. We don't have a big marketing budget or any fancy displays. The window is just full of some old TVs and parts we have for sale. Sometimes we sit on the stools out front for a breather when there are no customers. It is just a simple electronics shop where we do our best to fix what is broken for the locals.
