Indus Herbal Clinic

Indus Herbal Clinic is located at number 86 on R.H. Road in Lakshmipuram, Kolathur. It’s a pretty straightforward place where we keep a lot of jars and bottles filled with different herbs and powders. The smell when you walk in is quite strong, like dried leaves and roots, which some people like and others find a bit much. The clinic sits right on the main road, so you hear the buses and bikes going past all day long. We have a wooden desk where we sit and talk to folks who come in looking for something natural for their aches or digestion. It isn’t like a big modern hospital with glass walls and bright lights. It’s more quiet and traditional in here. We spend a lot of time grinding things up or sorting through the stock that comes in. The shelves are mostly made of wood and they are packed tight with all sorts of remedies. Lakshmipuram is a decent neighborhood and we get a lot of locals who just walk over from their houses. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we keep some candles and a torch handy to see what we are doing. We don't have a big website or anything, we just stay here on R.H. Road and help the people who find us. It’s a slow-paced kind of job but it keeps us busy enough to stay open.
