Our office is located in the Harmony Blue Moon Apartments, specifically unit C 204, over in Zamin Pallavaram. It is a residential area mostly, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main city center, though the Arulmurugan Nagar Main Road can get a bit loud during the morning rush. Working out of an apartment building gives the place a bit of a different feel than a big glass office tower. We have our desks set up in the main rooms and use the kitchen for making coffee and keeping our lunch boxes. The walk from the gate to the plot takes a couple of minutes and you see the same neighbors every day. Sometimes the elevator is a bit slow, so we just take the stairs to the second floor. It is a simple setup without any big signs or flashy lights out front. We spend our hours here mostly hunched over laptops and talking about whatever project is on the desk that week. Most of us live close enough to commute without too much trouble. We do not have a fancy reception desk or anything like that, just a door with a small nameplate. The breeze usually comes in through the balcony window in the afternoons which helps with the Chennai heat. It is just a regular group of people doing their jobs in a quiet corner of Pallavaram. We keep things pretty informal and try to stay productive throughout the day.
