Hanbao Industries India Private Limited

Being on Mint Street in Sowcarpet is always a bit of an adventure because of how crowded the lanes get. We are at No.123, and if you know the area, you know how hard it can be to move a truck through here in the middle of the day. Hanbao Industries India Private Limited has been part of this neighborhood for a while. The building isn't brand new, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it’s where we do all our work. Most of the day is spent handling orders and talking to the people who walk in off the street looking for things. It’s loud outside with all the rickshaws and vendors, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the noise. We don't have any of those big corporate offices with glass walls or fancy carpets. It’s just desks, some fans spinning to keep the heat away, and plenty of paperwork. Sowcarpet is the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so we see the same faces every day. When the monsoon hits, the street gets a bit messy with the water, but we just keep the shutters half-down and keep working. We handle a lot of different things here, and the inventory changes quite often. It’s a lot of lifting and shifting boxes into the back. It isn't a perfect system, but it's our system and it seems to work out for us in the end.
