Working at Nordic India Pvt. Ltd. means spending a lot of time in the Sidco Electronic Complex. If you haven't been to the Guindy Industrial Area lately, it’s a lot of grey buildings and people in uniforms rushing around. Our spot is pretty functional. We don't have fancy art on the walls or a lounge area for naps. It’s mostly just equipment, some metal desks, and a lot of technical manuals lying around. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know the rhythms of the industrial estate—when the trucks block the road and when the local canteen starts serving lunch. We handle a lot of the technical side of things, dealing with parts and systems that most people don't think about until they break. It’s steady work. My commute isn't great, but once I get into the complex, things feel familiar. We usually start the day by checking the machines and seeing what the schedule looks like for the afternoon. There are times when the power fluctuates, which is just part of being in an older industrial zone, so we’ve learned to deal with that. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to make sure the stuff we build or fix actually stays fixed for the people who buy it. It’s a plain office in a busy part of town, and that suits us just fine. We just keep our heads down and get on with it.
