We are based at No. 106 in the Tiny Sector of the Sidco Industrial Estate in Ambattur. Govindaraja Mudaliar Sons (P) Ltd has its roots here in this industrial patch. It’s a place where you can hear machines humming and trucks idling in the distance. Our building is a practical space designed for work, not for showing off. We deal with the day-to-day tasks of running a business in an industrial area. There is always something that needs fixing or a shipment that needs to be checked. The crew here is small but they’ve been around for a long time. We know the other businesses in the Tiny Sector and everyone sort of looks out for each other. Ambattur is a hardworking part of the city and we fit right in. Our office is right near the front door, and the rest of the space is for the heavy lifting. We don’t have fancy furniture or shiny floors. It’s mostly concrete and metal around here. We spend our hours tracking orders and making sure the production side is moving along like it should. Sometimes things get messy, especially when we are busy, but we clean up and start again the next morning. It’s the kind of place where you wear work boots instead of dress shoes. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay productive until the sun goes down and we close up.
