Our office is tucked away at P-34 on Vijaya Lakshmi Avenue. It is right behind the Sunder Kalyana Madapam, so if there is a wedding going on, we definitely know about it because of the music and the crowds. Poonamallee is a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where we are based. The building is pretty standard for this part of Chennai. We spend most of our time inside with the AC running because the heat can get quite bad in the afternoons. It’s not a corporate park. It’s just a regular street with houses and a few small businesses mixed in. We’ve got a few desks and some equipment set up. It’s nothing too fancy to look at. We usually just grab tea from the stall nearby when we need a break. Finding the place is usually easy once you spot the marriage hall. We’ve been in this spot for a bit and have gotten used to the rhythm of the street. Sometimes the power goes out, but we just deal with it. It’s a quiet enough place to get things done when there isn't a big function next door. We keep to ourselves mostly. The commute can be a pain with the traffic on the main road, but once you get into the avenue, it’s alright. Just a bunch of us working on tech things and trying to stay out of the sun.
