Friends Engineering Enterprises

Our shop is right on Palla Street in Korattur. It’s an old neighborhood, and we are located in the Agraharam area, so things are pretty traditional around here. Number 29 is where we keep all our tools and the various machines we use for our engineering work. Friends Engineering has been part of this street for a long time. People walk by on their way to the temple or the local shops and see us working through the open doors. We mostly do small engineering jobs. Some days it's just repairing a broken part for a neighbor, and other days it's bigger stuff that takes us a whole week to finish. The air always smells a bit like oil and burnt metal. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to answer phones professionally. Word just gets around the neighborhood. If someone needs something welded or turned on the lathe, they just drop by. We have a couple of old fans that barely keep the place cool in the summer. It’s a bit cramped with all the metal rods leaning against the walls. We try to keep things organized, but in a busy machine shop, that’s easier said than done. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we all know each other well. It’s a quiet life except for the noise of the drills. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. No fuss.
