Finding us can be a bit tricky because the house numbers changed a while back. We are at Old Number 32, which is now New Number 79 on Thiruvalluvapuram 2nd Street. Most people in Choolaimedu just look for the familiar door though. It’s a regular street with kids playing and people going about their business. Inside the office, things are usually a bit cluttered with computer parts and various screens. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, seeing the neighborhood change around us. The air conditioner makes a bit of a rattling noise in the afternoons, but it keeps the room cool enough for the hardware. We aren't a big shop with a massive storefront or flashy signs. It’s just Focus Computers, where a few of us sit and work on whatever needs fixing or setting up. Sometimes the delivery guys get lost between the streets, so we have to step out and wave them down. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy to look at, but it works for what we need. The desks are a bit scratched up from years of use. We don’t really have a lobby, so if you come in, you’re basically standing right where the work happens. It’s just how things are here in this part of town. We keep a pot of tea going most mornings. It’s a simple way to spend the workday, dealing with cables and code in a quiet corner of Choolaimedu. It's not a corporate life, but it suits us.
