Madipakkam is a busy residential area that has grown a lot lately. Our street is tucked away a bit from the main road, so it isn't as noisy as you might expect for Chennai. The building is a simple house that’s been converted into office spaces. We have one of the sections there. It’s got white walls and basic tile flooring. We have a few desks squeezed in, and it gets a bit crowded when everyone is in at the same time. We usually have the AC running because the Chennai heat can be brutal in the afternoons. There’s no big corporate sign, just a small nameplate near the door. We don't have a cafeteria, so we either head out to the local mess or bring tiffins from home. It’s a very straightforward way of working. Most of our neighbors are families, so we try to keep the noise down when we are leaving in the evening. We deal with various technology things throughout the day. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy. We just focus on the work and don't worry too much about having a polished image. It’s just us doing our thing in Periyar Nagar. The local tea shop on the corner makes a good ginger chai for us.
