Diabetic & Heart Care Clinic

Our clinic is located at H 2 on Turnbulls Road, right on the 1st Cross Street in Nandanam. It is a residential street, so it stays fairly quiet, which is helpful for the people coming in for heart checks. We have a very simple setup here on the ground floor. Having been in Nandanam for so many years, we’ve become a bit of a fixture. The front door has a squeak that we still haven't managed to fix properly. Inside, you’ll find a small reception desk and a couple of rooms for the actual check-ups. We like to keep things straightforward. There is a large cabinet in the hallway where we keep all the paper records from years back. Some of those folders are getting quite bulky now. Most of our day is spent checking blood pressure or looking at sugar levels. It’s routine work, but it matters to the folks who live nearby. Since there are only a few of us on staff, everyone does a bit of everything. One minute you might be answering the phone and the next you are helping clean up. When the heavy rains hit Chennai, the street outside gets muddy, so we keep a mop by the door. The waiting area is just some benches and a few old health posters. We know almost everyone who walks in by their first name, which makes the days go by faster.
