You can find Fortis Malar Hospital over at 52 First Main Road in the Adyar and Gandhi Nagar area. It is a place that has been around long enough that most locals use it as a landmark. We are right there on the corner, and the building has a certain look to it that you can't miss. Working here means dealing with a lot of different people from different backgrounds. It’s a bit of a mix, really. We have the usual hospital smells and the constant sound of footsteps in the hallways. It’s not a place for sitting around. We are always doing something, whether it's filing records or moving equipment from one room to another. Adyar is a busy part of town, so there is always something going on outside our windows. We don't have a mission statement hanging on every wall; we just have a lot of lists of things to get done. It's a practical environment. The air conditioning sometimes hums a bit too loud, and the chairs in the waiting room have seen better days, but they do the job.
