Our place is called Desktop, and you can find us at 17, Perumal Kovil St in Lakshmipuram. It’s in the Kolathur area of Chennai, zip code 600099. We’re right there on the street, and it’s a busy little spot most of the time. We deal with computers, mostly repairs and setting things up for people in the neighborhood. The shop is small and usually filled with towers and monitors waiting to be fixed. There’s a faint smell of solder and old dust in the air most days. We don’t have a fancy showroom with glass cases. It’s more of a workshop where we spend hours staring at motherboards and trying to find out which small part failed. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and people going to the temple, but inside we just focus on the hardware. Sometimes we run out of spare parts and have to wait for the market to open the next day to get what we need for a specific job. We’ve been in Kolathur for a good while, so we know the local folks pretty well. They bring their laptops in when they spill something on them or when they won't turn on for no reason. We don’t use a lot of technical jargon; we just tell you what’s broken and how long it’ll take us to fix it. It’s a small, honest shop where we work with our hands and try to keep everyone’s technology running.
