We started our little shop on Third Pillayar Koil Street. Ekkattuthangal is a really busy spot in the city. We handle automation work here most days. It gets quite noisy outside with all the traffic passing by our doors. Usually, we are just busy with parts and setting things up for customers. It’s not a fancy office at all. It is just a place where things get done by hand. Some days the heat in the workshop is pretty bad. We’ve been at No. 13/6 for a while now. Most people know us in the neighborhood. We don’t do much advertising at all. It is mostly just locals and people who know someone who worked with us before. The shop floor stays full of tools and bits of wire. We spend a lot of our time troubleshooting old machines. Sometimes things don't go right the first time we try them. We just keep at it until the machine works like it should. It’s hard work, honestly. Most of the guys have been here since we first opened the doors. We usually have tea around four in the afternoon. It’s a habit we can't break now. The street gets very crowded in the evenings. You have to be careful when you are parking your bike out front. We focus on the jobs we get. There isn't much time for meetings or talking about big plans. We just look at the order and start working on it. It’s a simple life.
