Afton Health & Fitness Equipments

Our place is over in Adyar at the corner of 3rd Cross Street in Kasturibai Nagar. We use the old and new house numbers, 4 and 13, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers, but they usually find us eventually. Afton Health & Fitness Equipments is basically a place where we keep a lot of heavy metal and rubber. We spend our time unboxing treadmills, fixing exercise bikes, and showing people how the different machines work. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, and my back usually aches by the time I head home. The neighborhood here is pretty nice, and we get a lot of people who are just starting out on a fitness kick or others who have been training for years. We aren't fitness gurus ourselves, just people who know how the equipment is put together and how to keep it running. The shop is often a bit crowded because these machines take up so much room. We don't have a polished showroom with bright lights and mirrors everywhere. It’s more like a functional warehouse where you can actually see what you are getting. Sometimes we are out on service calls half the day, so the shop might feel a bit quiet then. We just take things as they come. It’s a decent business to be in, helping folks get a bit more active, even if we are just the ones moving the heavy gear around for them.
