We set up Datashaft Technologies in Thoraipakkam, specifically at Plot Number 72 on 3rd Street in MCN Nagar. This part of Chennai has changed so much over the years with all the IT growth along the OMR. Our street is tucked away from the main highway, which helps keep the noise down a little bit, though you can still hear the traffic in the distance. The office isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular building among others. Inside, we have our desks, some old computers, and a lot of notebooks lying around. We spend our days working through technical problems and trying to stay on top of things. It is often quite hot, so the AC is usually humming in the background. We aren't a big corporation with fancy rules. It is a small group of us and we just talk to each other instead of sending formal emails for every little thing. Thoraipakkam is a convenient spot for us because a lot of the team lives nearby. There are some decent places to eat on the main road, though we usually just bring stuff from home. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded when it rains really hard, but we just manage. We are just a local business trying to do honest work and keep the lights on. It is a simple setup and we like that it is not too complicated or formal.
