Our office is tucked away on the third floor of a building on Coral Merchant Street. It’s room number one, right near where the Mannady Street area starts and pretty close to the Beach Railway Station. If you’re coming by train, it’s just a short walk, though the streets are always crowded with traders and shoppers. We do a lot of computer-related work here at Dextserv Technologies Pvt. Ltd. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks with a few monitors and a lot of cables running across the floor. The building is older, so the stairs can be a bit of a climb, but we’re used to it by now. We spend most of our day dealing with software and technical problems that people send our way. It gets pretty quiet in the room when everyone is focused, except for the sound of keyboards clicking and the occasional train whistle from the station nearby. We aren’t one of those huge tech firms with glass walls and free snacks. It’s just a practical space where we get our tasks done. Sometimes the internet acts up or the power goes for a second, but that’s just part of working in this part of town. We’ve been in this spot for a while and know the local tea shop guys pretty well. It’s a decent place to work if you don’t mind the hustle and bustle of the market outside. We just keep working until the job is finished.
