Computer Operator

I have been running this small computer operation at 199 Angappans Street in Mannady for a good number of years now. Being in this part of Chennai means it is always noisy and the streets are constantly filled with people going about their business. My shop is tucked away among all the other local businesses, and it is a pretty simple setup. I spend most of my day sitting at my desk, typing out documents or helping people get their paperwork in order. The room is quite small and the walls are filled with stacks of paper and old folders that I really should go through one of these days. It gets very warm in here during the summer months, so I always have the fan running at full speed, which makes a lot of noise. People from the surrounding market come in when they need a letter written or a form filled out because they know I can do it quickly. I don't really have any help, so if there is a line, people just have to wait their turn on the old wooden bench I have by the door. I try to keep the computer clean, but the dust from the street always finds its way in. It is a humble way to work, and I don't have any big plans for the place. I am just happy to be here in Mannady, doing what I know how to do for the folks in the neighborhood.
