We are based at 20 B Venkatanarayanan St in the Jagadambal Colony area of Chennai. It’s a pretty well-known part of the city, located in pin code 600091. The building itself is older, and we are right there in the middle of all the T Nagar style bustle. Getting through the traffic on Venkatanarayanan St can be a real headache sometimes, especially during the morning rush. The office for Cognizant Tech Solutions is simple. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist greeting people at the door. It's more of a walk-in-and-get-to-work kind of place. The colony is quite crowded, so parking a car is almost impossible, most of us just come by bike or take the bus. The humidity in Chennai is always there, so the AC is usually running full blast. We have been here for a long time. There are plenty of small eateries around Jagadambal Colony where we get our lunch. Sometimes we just sit on the steps and talk for a bit. It’s an honest place to work. It feels very local. We know the shopkeepers nearby and the people who live in the apartments around us. It isn't a high-rise building with glass windows, just a solid brick structure that has seen a lot of years. We just keep our heads down and do what needs doing in this little corner of Tamil Nadu.
