If you know Chennai, you know how busy the O.M.R. can get. Codoid Innovations Private Limited is right there in Kottivakkam, on 3rd Main Road in Nehru Nagar. It is a hub for tech, but we try to keep our office feeling a bit more personal than the giant towers down the road. We spend our time working on various innovation projects and software stuff. The office is usually humming with the sound of computers and a few conversations. We do not have a front desk person with a scripted greeting. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just says hello. It is a practical space. We have got a lot of cables and monitors everywhere because that is just the nature of what we do. The heat on the O.M.R. can be brutal, so we are thankful for the fans and the air conditioning. We do not spend money on expensive marketing or big launch events. We mostly get our work through word of mouth and people who know what we can do. It is a bit of a grind sometimes, but we enjoy the challenge of solving problems. We like the neighborhood because there are plenty of places to grab a quick bite. We are not a corporate machine; we are just a bunch of folks who like to build things and see them work properly. That is the long and short of it.
