We are up on the 6th floor of Mena Kampala Arcade on Thyagaraya Road. Being in T. Nagar means there is always a lot of traffic and people shopping down below. The building is also known as Old No. 113. It is a busy arcade with a lot of different offices. Our space is high up, so we get a bit of a view of the rooftops in the area. We have been here for a while and the office has that lived-in feel. There are stacks of paper on some desks and some plants that we try to remember to water. We mostly do technical work all day. It involves a lot of sitting and thinking and typing. We aren't the type to wear suits and ties; we just wear what is comfortable. The elevator in the arcade can be a bit temperamental, so some of us just take the stairs if we aren't feeling lazy. T. Nagar is great because you can find almost anything you need just by walking a block or two. We eat lunch at different spots nearby depending on what we feel like that day. It is a fast-paced environment outside, but inside we just try to stay focused on our tasks. We don't have any big slogans on the walls, just a calendar and maybe a few photos. It is just a regular place where people come to work every morning to get things finished.
