Century Flour Mills Ltd

We’re based in the Indian Chamber Buildings on the first floor, right in the heart of Esplanade. Century Flour Mills has been around for a while, and you can almost feel the history in the walls of this building. Working with flour means things can get a bit messy, though we keep the office upstairs away from the actual milling. It’s an old-school kind of business. We spend a lot of time on the phone with suppliers and checking the quality of the grain coming in. The Esplanade area is always humming with people, and being in the Chamber building means we’re surrounded by other old businesses too. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. We just focus on getting the flour right. It’s a staple food, so we know it’s important, but we don't go around bragging about it. We’ve got a team that’s been with us for years, and they know the business inside and out. Sometimes the machinery breaks down or the shipments are late, and those are the days we drink a lot of coffee and try to stay calm. We aren't looking to be the trendiest company on the block. We just want to keep the mill running and make sure our customers get what they need. It’s practical, everyday work that we’ve been doing for a long time.
