You can find us at the Indian Chambers Building on the first floor. We’re right in the Esplanade area, which is always bustling with people and old buildings. We’ve been milling flour for a long time. It’s one of those businesses that doesn't change much even though the world outside does. We deal with a lot of grain and big machines. The office here handles the orders and the distribution. It's an old building with high ceilings and a lot of history in the walls. We’re not a high-tech startup. We’re just a flour mill company that knows how to grind wheat and get it to the bakeries and shops. Sometimes the elevators in the building are slow, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. We’ve got a core group of people who have worked here for twenty or thirty years. They know the smell of good grain the moment it comes in. We don’t spend money on fancy brochures. We just focus on making sure the flour is consistent. If the quality is off, the bakers let us know pretty quick. It’s a lot of responsibility because people eat what we make every day. We just try to keep the machines running and the bags moving out the door. It’s simple work, really, but it’s important to the city. We take it one day at a time and try to stay on top of the orders.
