Asveen Traders

We operate out of No.- 66/A in the D-Block of Adam Court. It’s located on Vellalar Street in Adambakkam. Asveen Traders is a small operation and we like it that way. The building is a typical Chennai style structure and it stays fairly cool inside despite the humidity. We have a bit of a storage area in the back for our goods. The front part of the shop is where we handle the customers and the billing. It’s a narrow street, so parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We hear the neighbors and the local street sounds all day. We start the day by cleaning the front step and organizing the shelves. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. Most of our business comes from people in the area or folks who have known us for a long time. The office chair in the corner squeaks every time someone sits down. We keep our accounts in big ledger books and also on a basic computer. It is a simple life of buying and selling. We take a long break in the afternoon when it’s too hot to do much. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little, but we just wait it out. It’s a quiet, steady business and we just try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. There is always a lot to do, but we take it one day at a time.
