I work out of my place at Pace Prana Apartments. It is F01 on the 4th floor of the 5th block. The apartments are on Padi Kuppam Main Road in Anna Nagar West. It is a quiet spot for a consultancy. I don't have a big staff or a fancy office suite. It is mostly just me, my computer, and a lot of technical books about metals and metallurgy. I’ve spent many years studying how metals behave, and now I help businesses figure out their technical problems. My desk is usually covered in lab reports and diagrams. It isn't a corporate environment at all. I don't wear a suit unless I absolutely have to for a meeting. Most of the time, I’m just here in my regular clothes. People find me through word of mouth usually. I don't do any real advertising. Anna Nagar West is a nice area to be in, and it’s easy for clients to find once they get the block and floor right. The lift can be a bit slow sometimes, so you have to be patient. I enjoy the work because every metal problem is a bit different. It’s not about being the biggest consultant out there. It’s just about providing some practical advice based on what I know. Sometimes I spend hours just reading through old data to find an answer. It’s a simple, quiet way to make a living and I’m quite content with it most days.
