S. A. Traders

S. A. Traders is over at No. 43 on the Ayyapakkam Road in T. G. Anna Nagar. We’re a small trading outfit. We don't manufacture anything ourselves; we mostly buy and sell various goods that local businesses and people need. Our shop is pretty basic. We have shelves filled with stock and a small counter where we handle the transactions. It’s a lot of talking to people and trying to find the best prices from suppliers so we can keep things moving. The Ayyapakkam Road area is quite busy, so we get a fair amount of walk-in traffic and people just stopping by to see what we have in stock. We don't have any big mission or anything like that. We just want to sell our inventory and keep the business running. Sometimes the stock takes a while to arrive from the distributors, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just how it goes when you’re a small trader. We’ve been at this spot for some time now and have a decent relationship with the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a simple life, really. We open up in the morning, check what’s missing, call some people, and serve whoever comes through the door. It’s not fancy, but it’s our living and we take it one day at a time without too much worry about the big picture. We just keep the shelves stocked as best as we can.
