Anil Textile Mills

We’re up on the first floor at 376 Mint Street. It’s right across from the Sowcarpet Post Office, which makes it easy to find if you don't mind the crowds. Mint Street is always packed with people and carts, so it’s a bit of a scramble to get inside sometimes. At Anil Textile Mills, we’ve been dealing with cloth for a long time. The space is a bit cramped because we have rolls of fabric stacked up to the ceiling. It’s not a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s more of a place where you come to find the right material at a decent price. We spend our days measuring out lengths of cloth and talking to customers who’ve been coming to us for decades. Sowcarpet is a tight-knit place, and everyone knows everyone. We don't do any big marketing. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic with everyone talking at once, but that's just the atmosphere here. We try to keep things straightforward. You tell us what you need, we find it in the stacks, and we settle the bill. It’s been that way since we started. We aren't looking to change much. As long as the post office is across the street and the people are on Mint Street, we’ll be here. It's a lot of work climbing those stairs every day.
