Alvel Sales

You can find Alvel Sales tucked away at No. 5 on Stringer Street. We’ve been using this same spot for years, and even our P.O. Box at No. 1679 hasn't changed. Stringer Street is one of those narrow places where things always feel a bit crowded, but it’s home for us. We deal with sales and distribution. Most of our day is spent checking inventory and talking to people who need supplies. It’s a lot of manual tracking because we haven't gone fully digital like some of the bigger places. We like the way we do things. It feels more personal when you can see the stock right there in the back. The building is a bit older, and the stairs creak sometimes, but it’s sturdy. We don't have any fancy displays or a showroom. If someone wants to see something, we just pull it out of a box. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We don't spend money on advertising or big signs. People usually find us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them about us. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except when a big shipment arrives and we have to move everything around to make space. We just take it one day at a time and try to stay busy. There’s always another order to fill and another person calling for a price. We just keep moving forward. It works for us.
