The Mark Fashions

People usually find us by looking for 6th Street in Sundhar Nagar. We have been at No. 4 for a while now. Allapakkam is a busy place, and there’s always something going on outside our door. Sometimes it gets a bit noisy with the traffic, but that is just how it is here. I started The Mark Fashions because I needed something to do and I knew a bit about clothes. We have different racks for shirts and trousers. Nothing too fancy, just regular stuff that people around here need for work or weddings. My cousin helps me out on most days when he isn't busy with his own studies. We open early in the morning, around nine, unless the rain is too heavy and the street floods. Most of the people who come in are locals who live just a few blocks away. They know me by name and sometimes they just stop by to talk about the weather or the price of tea. The shop isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. I try to keep the shelves tidy, though it gets messy when we have a big delivery of new stock. We don’t really do much advertising. People just see the sign and walk in. It’s been a steady few years for us. We just keep doing what we do every day without making a big fuss about it.
