Moonlight Trading Company

Down here in Alapakkam, specifically at 5/9 Sami Vivekanandar Street, is where Moonlight Trading Company sits. We are tucked away in Karpaga Vinayagar Colony, which is mostly quiet except for the morning traffic. The office is basically just a room with some filing cabinets and a very old ceiling fan that makes a lot of noise. We spend most of our mornings talking to suppliers and trying to figure out where the latest shipment has gone. Trading is a bit of a headache sometimes, especially when prices go up and down without any warning. My cousin helps me out with the books, though we aren't always great at keeping everything tidy. We’ve been in Pourur for several years now and seen the streets change quite a bit. There’s a tea stall at the corner where we usually take our breaks and talk to the other shop owners. It’s a tight-knit community here. We don’t have a big team or a fancy website, just us doing our daily rounds. Most of the stuff we trade comes from local farms or small factories nearby. We load the vans right outside the door, which can be a bit of a squeeze when the neighbors have their cars parked there. It's just honest work, nothing more. We stay busy enough to keep the lights on and that’s plenty for us. Sometimes it gets stressful with deadlines, but we always find a way to sort it out.
