Working at Alai Technology Labs means dealing with the OMR traffic every single morning, which is something we all love to complain about. We are up on Level 2 of the Agnitio Tech Park in Kandanchavadi. Being in Perungudi means we are right in the middle of everything, surrounded by other companies and plenty of places to grab a quick meal. The tech park itself is quite busy, with people always rushing in and out of the elevators. Our space inside is pretty functional. We have the usual rows of computers and a few whiteboards that are usually covered in messy scribbles. It’s a bit more of a professional environment than a home office, but we still keep it fairly relaxed. You won’t find us using big corporate buzzwords; we just talk about what needs to be fixed or built next. The air conditioning is usually a bit too cold, so most of us keep a sweater at our desks even in the Chennai heat. During lunch, we usually head down to the local stalls or the food court to get away from the screens for a bit. It’s a fast-paced area, but inside our four walls, we try to keep things steady. The view from the window is just more buildings and cars, which reminds us that we are in the heart of the IT corridor. It’s a busy life, but we are used to it.
