Akshaya Machinery Dealer

Our place, Akshaya Machinery Dealer, is on Dr. Besant Road in Triplicane. We are at number 147, on the first floor. It is easy to find because we are right upstairs from the SBI branch. Triplicane is always full of energy, and being on the first floor gives us a bit of a view of the street traffic. The stairs are a bit steep, so we usually warn people to take it slow. Once you get inside, it’s mostly filled with catalogues and some smaller machine samples. We deal with a lot of different equipment, so the phone rings quite a bit. It’s just a couple of us working here. We handle the orders and talk to the suppliers. It can get quite warm in the afternoons, but we have the fans going full speed. The office is a bit cluttered with files and old parts that we haven't moved in years. We’ve been in this building for a long time, and the bank staff downstairs are like old friends. Most people come to us because they know the shop and we have been in the Triplicane area for ages. We don't have a big showroom or anything like that. It's a practical space where we get the business done. We usually lock up around six and head home. It’s a simple setup but it works well for what we do every day.
