Aks Rubber Works

You will find us at number 7, Kalyana Sundaram Street in Perambur. It is a narrow street and things can get quite cramped when we are loading up for the day. We are a small rubber works shop and we have been in this neighborhood for a good long time. Most of the people who work here live just a few streets away, so it is a very local operation. We make various rubber parts, mostly small things that people need for repairs or small-scale manufacturing. The shop is filled with the smell of burnt rubber and the hum of the cooling fans. We don't have a lot of space, so we have to be careful about how we stack our materials. Sometimes the machines act up because they are old, but we usually fix them ourselves and keep going. Perambur is a busy place, and there is always something happening on Kalyana Sundaram Street. We get people stopping by just to chat or ask for advice on some rubber gasket they are trying to find. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles. We are just a few guys working with rubber and trying to do a decent job every day. It’s nothing special, just a small shop where we work hard and hope for the best. We don't use any high-tech gadgets, just the tools we have used for years and the knowledge we picked up along the way.
