You can find Zhagam Agro Products Private Limited over at No. 95/3 on Elumalai Avenue, which is part of Unamanchery. It’s a bit of a trek out there toward Kancheepuram, but it’s where we have our space on Rangasamy Street. We deal with all sorts of agro products, mostly focusing on what the land around here provides. The neighborhood is changing quite a bit, but we’ve kept our operations pretty grounded and simple. It isn’t a high-rise office building or anything, just a functional spot where we get things done. We spend a lot of time checking on the quality of what comes in and making sure it goes out to the right places in Chennai. Sometimes the logistics can be a real headache with the traffic on the main roads, but we’ve gotten used to the timing. We are just a small team of people who actually care about where food comes from and how it gets handled. There is no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some notes about deliveries. We try to be fair with everyone we work with, from the suppliers to the folks who buy from us.
