Sri Ayyappa Blue Metals

Our place is at 32 Rani Mangamma Salai in Kavalkinar. This is where we handle the blue metals. If you have ever worked with stone or gravel, you know it is a very dirty and physical job. We are out in the yard most of the day, dealing with the loads that come in from the quarry. Kavalkinar is a small enough town that everyone knows where everything is. Rani Mangamma Salai is a well-known road around here. We have been at number 32 for quite a few years. The sun is usually beating down on us, so we wear hats and try to stay in the shade when we can. It is not the kind of work where you wear a suit and tie. We are usually covered in stone dust by noon. We just focus on getting the trucks loaded and sent out on time. Sometimes the equipment acts up because of all the grit, so maintenance is a big part of what we do. It is just a straightforward business. We do not try to act like we are bigger than we are. We are just a local spot in Kavalkinar doing our thing with the blue metals. It is hard work, but it is what keeps the lights on. We are usually tired by the end of the day, but that is how it goes when you work with heavy materials like these.
