Commis Ii

Commis Ii is situated over at 22/1 Amman Koil Street. This is in the Neduncherry area of Thirumazhisai, which is out towards the edge of Chennai. It’s a bit quieter out here than in the city center, which we don't mind at all. We spend our time here dealing with the kitchen side of things and food prep. The name "Commis Ii" kind of gives it away if you know about cooking. We’ve got a basic setup on Amman Koil Street where we do the work. It’s not a fancy restaurant with waiters; it’s more about the actual cooking and getting things ready for others. We start pretty early in the morning when the air is still cool. There is always something to chop or a pot that needs watching on the stove. The neighbors around Neduncherry are mostly local families, so it feels quite grounded here. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things for us. We just focus on the food and making sure the kitchen is clean and organized at the end of the shift. Some days it gets really hot over the stoves, but we’re used to it by now. It’s just the way it goes when you’re working with food all day. We've been in this spot for a while and we know the local shops where we get our supplies. It’s a simple life, really, just doing what needs to be done.
