Maa Bricks

Maa Bricks is a small outfit located in Belgaon Village. We are part of the Saoli Taluka area, and you can find us right near the Indira Gandhi School. It’s a quiet enough place, though you can hear the kids playing during their break times. Our work revolves around the clay and the kilns. We spend most of our days out in the open, molding bricks and then setting them out to dry. It’s a process that hasn’t changed much over the years. We use the local soil and fire the bricks until they are solid. It’s a tough job, especially when the sun is beating down on us in the middle of the afternoon. We mostly provide for the people living in and around the village. When someone wants to add a room to their house or build a new wall for their yard, they usually come down here to see what we have ready. We don't have any corporate slogans or big marketing plans. We just focus on making sure the bricks are fired correctly so they last. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we’ve been doing it for quite some time now. If you’re near the school, just look for the piles of red bricks and you’ll know you’ve found us. We are usually here until the sun starts to set over the fields.
