Down in MIDC Waluj, you’ll find us at F-63. Yashanand Filaments Pvt. Ltd. is right in the heart of the industrial zone. It’s a noisy area, with machines running and trucks moving in and out all day long. We’ve been here long enough that we don't even notice the sound anymore. Our factory floor is where everything happens. We make filaments, so there’s always that specific smell of production in the air. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. The office is just a small corner of the building where we keep the records. We prefer being out where the work is happening anyway. Waluj can be quite a dusty place, especially in the dry season, but the community of businesses here is strong. We help each other out if a machine breaks down or if someone needs a hand with a delivery. Our workers are mostly folks from the surrounding villages. They’ve been with us for years. We don't have a flashy website or a big marketing team. We just focus on making sure the filaments come out right. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait around, but that’s just part of life in the MIDC. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is happening in town. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it keeps the doors open and the machines turning.
