Yash Impex

Yash Impex is tucked away inside Citimall on Link Road. We’re at unit 125. It’s a bit of a strange place for an import-export business, being in a mall and all, but it works for us. Andheri is always crowded, and Link Road is probably one of the busiest streets you’ll ever see. Getting to work in the morning is a bit of a struggle with the rickshaws and the construction, but once we’re inside the mall, it’s a bit quieter. We handle a lot of different products, so our office is often filled with samples and boxes. It’s a bit cramped, but we make it work. We spend most of the day on the computer or the phone, tracking shipments and talking to customs people. It’s a lot of waiting for things to move from one port to another. Sometimes we go downstairs to get a quick snack from the food court when we’re too busy to go out for a proper lunch. We’ve been here for a few years now. People sometimes wander in thinking we sell clothes or electronics because we’re in the mall, and we have to tell them we’re an impex firm. It’s kind of funny. We aren't some massive polished company. We’re just a small team trying to navigate the world of trading. It’s busy, it’s loud, and there’s always something that needs fixing, but it’s our spot.
