V K Sales Corporation is tucked away in Sector 34 at KK Market, specifically at spot 82. If you’ve ever been to KK Market, you know how crowded it gets, especially on the weekends. There are people everywhere and bikes parked in all the wrong places. Our spot isn't the biggest, but we manage to fit everything in by stacking boxes right up to the ceiling. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the ledger books. The ledger is old and the edges are all curled up. There’s a specific smell in the market, a mix of street food and old cardboard, that stays with you. We keep a small stool outside for when things are slow and we want to watch the crowd go by. Sometimes the neighbors from shop 81 or 83 come over to borrow a stapler or just to complain about the heat. We’ve been in this market for a long time. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks near the entrance. Every morning starts with a prayer and then we get to work.
