Swati Communications is found at number 330 on Sua Road, right near the Chandigarh G.P.O. Being so close to the main post office means there are always people moving around outside. The shop itself is quite modest. We have a simple counter and some shelves that are mostly filled with SIM cards and recharge vouchers. It’s not the kind of place that has a lot of bells and whistles. We keep things straightforward. People come in when they need their phones topped up or when they’re looking for a specific type of cable that’s hard to find. We also do repairs, so there’s usually a pile of phones waiting for parts to arrive. The atmosphere on Sua Road is typical for Chandigarh—a bit busy but still orderly. We’ve been at this location for a while, and we’ve seen the different seasons come and go from our front door. In the winter, it gets quite chilly, so we keep a small heater behind the desk. We aren't part of some big corporate chain, it's just a local operation. We know the mail carriers and the folks who work at the nearby offices. Most of our day is spent chatting with customers while we work on their devices. It’s a steady kind of life. We don’t make any big promises, we just try to get the job done right so people can go about their day.
