Stylo Hair Dressers

Our shop, Stylo Hair Dressers, is tucked away at number 104 in Palace Bazzar. This is in the Sector 20C market area of Chandigarh, quite close to the post office. Being in a bazaar means it’s always lively around here. There are people coming in for stamps or errands and then stopping by for a haircut. The shop itself is a rectangular space with mirrors along one side and a small area for people to wait. We have a little television in the corner that usually shows the news or a cricket match if there’s one on. The lighting isn't the brightest, but we have some extra lamps near the chairs so we can see what we are doing clearly. Sometimes the door sticks a bit when it's humid, so you have to give it a good push to get in. We get a lot of older gentlemen from the neighborhood who have been coming here since the shop first opened. They usually like to talk about what’s going on in the city while we work. We also get the younger guys who want something a bit more modern. It’s a balance, really. The floor needs a lot of sweeping because of how many people come through, and we try to keep the combs in the liquid to stay clean. It’s a busy little spot in 20C, and we just keep it going.
