High Heads

Running things out of Flat 402 in Tower I-1 over at Maya Garden City wasn't exactly the plan when we first thought of High Heads. But here we are. It’s a bit of a trek up to the fourth floor sometimes especially when the lift is acting up but it’s a good space for us. We’ve got the computers set up near the window so we can see what’s going on outside in the city. It’s mostly just a few of us trying to stay organized in what is basically a living room turned office. You’d be surprised how much you can get done in a residential flat when you really have to. We spend a lot of time on calls and staring at screens. Sometimes the neighbors probably wonder what we’re actually doing in here all day. It’s not like a regular shop where people just walk in off the street. We’ve got our own little rhythm going. It’s quiet most of the time except when we’re all talking at once trying to figure out a problem. We’ve had to move the furniture around a few times to make more room for gear. It’s a bit cramped but it feels like home which helps when the work gets stressful. We don’t have a receptionist or a lobby. Just us and some desks and hopefully enough snacks to get through the afternoon. It works for now.
