Sigdi

Our little shop is number 398 in Sector 32. We are right in the main market area of Chandigarh. If you know the sector 32 market, you know it is always humming with people. We have been at this spot for some time now. Sigdi is what we call the place. It is a simple food joint. We don't have any of those fancy air conditioners or plush seating. It is mostly about the grill and the fire. You can usually smell the food from down the street when the wind is right. We spend our days prepping meat and vegetables. It gets really hot in the kitchen, especially during the summer months in Chandigarh. But we keep at it because people keep coming back. The market is a bit of a mess with parking sometimes, so most people just walk over. We have a few staff members who have been with us since we opened. They know how to handle the evening rush when everyone wants their food at the same time. We don't do anything too fancy. Just basic cooking over a fire. It is honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes we run out of coal or have a leak in the roof, but that is just how it goes with a small business like this. We are just glad to be a part of the local market community here in Chandigarh.
