Sharma Shiksha Kendra

This is a small center we run out of house number 3143-44 in Sector 22D. It’s right in the middle of a residential part of Chandigarh. We’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s not a commercial building, so it feels very much like a home. We have set up a few rooms with desks for teaching. It’s a quiet street usually, except for the occasional fruit seller going by. People from the neighborhood send their children here for extra help with their school subjects. We cover a bit of everything depending on what the kids need help with. It’s a very local thing. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one. The rooms are a bit cramped when it gets busy in the evenings. We have some old cupboards full of old notes and practice papers. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s how we do things. We like the personal feel of being in a house. It makes the students feel more at ease. There’s no big corporate vibe here. Just us helping out the local kids with their homework and exams. We sit around the big table and go through the chapters. It’s a humble setup but it serves the community well enough. You can usually find us here every weekday afternoon and early evening.
