Recruitment Firm

Over in Sector-34 C, we’ve got our little office. It’s called Recruitment Firm, which is pretty much exactly what we do. Chandigarh is a good place to work from because there are so many students and young people looking for their first real break. We spend most of our mornings just sifting through piles of resumes that come in. Some days it feels like the phone never stops ringing, which is good, I guess. We aren't a huge corporation with a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just 1183, a place where we sit down and try to match people with the right roles. Sometimes it takes a long time to find the right fit, and other times it happens in an afternoon. We’ve learned that you can't really rush these things. The coffee machine in the corner is probably the most used thing in the office besides the computers. We talk to all kinds of people, from those just starting out to folks with years of experience. It’s interesting to hear everyone's stories. Chandigarh has grown a lot, and there are always new offices opening up nearby. We try to keep up with who is hiring and what they need. The traffic in Chandigarh can be a bit much during rush hour, so we try to get in early. Our office building has been there for years, and it shows its age a bit, but it’s sturdy. We have a few plants on the windowsills that we sometimes forget to water. It’s a real place with real people.
