Raj Hans Photo Centre

You can find Raj Hans Photo Centre in Sector 17, over by Sector 45 C 4. We’ve been taking pictures here for a long time. The shop has that smell of old paper and ink. We have a big camera on a tripod and a blue curtain for passport photos. A lot of kids come in with their parents for school pictures. They usually don't want to sit still. We also do some printing for people who still like to have physical photos in their hands. The machines make a humming noise all day long. We have some frames on the walls to show what we have, but some are a bit dusty. The lighting in here is a bit dim except for where the flashes are. We sit behind the counter and wait for people to bring in their memory sticks or phones. Sometimes we help them pick the right size for a frame. It’s a quiet kind of work. We have a small stool for the little kids to stand on so they reach the backdrop. In the evenings, the sun hits the front window and we have to pull the shade down. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are because we’ve been here so long. We keep the scissors and tape right by the register so we don't have to look for them when things get busy.
