You can find us at SCO 102 on the ground floor in Sector 35C. One good thing about this spot is that we are right opposite the Janta Taxi Stand, so there is always a lot of movement outside. We watch the taxis come and go all day while we are working on someone’s hair. Sector 35 is a pretty popular part of Chandigarh, so there are always students and office workers walking past the window. The shop is set up so people can just walk in off the street. We have the usual black chairs and those rolling carts for the scissors and spray bottles. It gets a bit noisy sometimes because of the traffic and the drivers talking outside, but it keeps the day interesting. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have been doing this for years. Sometimes the air conditioner acts up when it gets really hot in June, but we manage to keep the place decent. People come in for all sorts of things, from a quick buzz cut to something a bit more involved. We don't spend much time on fancy talk; we just get to work once someone sits down. It's a practical shop for a busy neighborhood. We’ve seen the taxi stand change over time, but our shop stays pretty much the same, just a place for a haircut.
